Well, to keep a long story short, many of us already know that the majority of the "big food" industry does not prioritize our health. Simply Fresh Market was started back in 2009 after the owner, Tony Gelardi, envisioned a better way to provide people with a healthier lifestyle through food. He realized the importance of growing and selling foods that are organic (or grown with organic practices) so that they are not compromised with the long list of pesticides, herbicides, chemicals, fillers, and other in-edible ingredients. This takes a lot of work doing research, reading labels, and vetting out vendors and distributors to get the truth. And this goes hand-in-hand with supporting local farmers and artisans, so we can speak with them face to face and build relationships within the community- not to mention stimulating our local economy. Most businesses would stop there, because in most cases it seems that these extra efforts are not worth the time. But they are. Here at Simply Fresh Market, we are a family-owned business built with high-standards for the food we sell (which is the same food we feed our own family). There is only one way to do things: the right way.
