    How to Maximize Your Detox

    Transition Properly

    Two to three days before and after your detox be sure to transition properly by consuming lighter foods.

    • Smoothies are the best way to transition in and out of your detox as they are broken down and promote smooth and easy digestion.
    • Snack on whole fruits and vegetables (be sure to chew thoroughly)
    • Plant-based soups and salads
    • Fermented sauerkraut or kimchi
    • Eliminate or drastically reduce heavier food groups such as meat, dairy, sugar, and refined carbohydrates

    Stretching

    Foam rolling/yoga/static stretching are all great to do while detoxing because they do not require as much caloric expenditure as other higher intensity training styles and it releases built up tension within muscles. Foam roll slowly at one inch per second. Hold stretches for a minimum of 30 seconds at a time. Aim to stretch every major muscle group two times per day or more.

    Detox Protocol

    We strongly recommend you begin your detox the day after you receive your delivery. Juices will taste their best, be at their peak in terms of micro-nutrient content, and provide the maximum benefit to your body and brain.

    Juice Order

    1. Heal: Celery
    2. Rise: Apple, Cucumber, Beet, Purple Cabbage, Lemon, Mint
    3. Glow: Apple, Cucumber, Celery, Kale, Lime, Parsley, Basil, Cilantro
    4. Shine: Apple, Lemon, Ginger, Turmeric, Apple Cider Vinegar, Remineralized Water

    Why this order?

    Celery juice on an empty stomach has tremendous health benefits. This order also allows the two green juices to be spaced out and not back-to-back. Shine is consumed last because there is an added digestive benefit when we consume apple cider vinegar and turmeric at night.

    When to Drink Shots, Broth, Smoothies

    Wellness shots can be taken anytime you feel that you need a pick me up (as long as it's after you have finished all of the "Heal"). Bone broth should be consumed after "Rise" or "Glow" to help you feel full and satiated. Smoothie should be consumed after "Heal" or "Rise" to help you feel full and satiated.

    Restrictions

    To get the most out of your juice detox you should restrict all solid food (including smoothies). The more of a break that you can give your digestive system, the more benefits you reap. However, if it is your first time or you are someone who burns an exceptional number of calories thought the day then incorporating a smoothie into the detox would be a good strategy.

    Coffee should ideally be restricted, but if you must, consume your coffee black and without any additives. Try to limit to one cup per day.

    What else can I have other than juice?

    Let's talk about WATER. While detoxing, it is essential to drink plenty of water. We provide a total of 96 oz of purified remineralized 8+ pH water for you. Our water purification system strips all of the harmful additives found in tap water which include (but not limited to): acids, fluoride, arsenic, carcinogens, bacteria, lead, pesticides, mercury and chemical fertilizers. Then, the water is boosted with 20 healthy minerals and silver ions to remove bacteria. Keep this in mind for your daily life, and know where your water is coming from.

    Plain tea and kombucha are also allowed during your detox. Be sure there are no added sugars. Medication should continue to be taken as prescribed by your doctor. This product has not been pasteurized and therefore may contain harmful bacteria that can cause serious illness in children, elderly, and persons with weakened immune systems.
